We've now resolved the incident. Thanks for your patience.
We are happy to report the Shiptheory UI has continued to respond without delay during the busiest periods this week after our recent optimisation work. The matter of the slow UI on Mondays and Tuesdays is now considered to be resolved. Additional monitoring has been implemented to alert us of any such issues in the future, ahead of time, should they surface.
The development work to improve the speed of automatic desktop printing is ongoing. Unlike the infrastructure optimisations required to resolve the previous slowness issue affecting the UI, the work required to remove all delays from auto-printing is much more in-depth.
An updated version of automatic printing will be released to a small subtest of customers on the 25th of October. After a monitoring period, the updated version will be rolled out to all accounts gradually between the 7th and 15th of November.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to support.
The Shiptheory application has been responding well without delays through our busiest period earlier today.
We will continue to monitor. If you are experiencing any difficulties, please get in touch with support.
Last week we made several performance optimisations to the Shiptheory servers that should make the application UI more responsive during peak time, which falls on Monday and Tuesday between 10:00 and 14:00 BST.
As a result, we do not expect downtime today. Further optimisations are planned that should provide faster response times and better resilience. However, due to the nature of the application, improvements are being made incrementally.
Automatic desktop printing is expected to be running with a delay during 11:00-15:00 BST today.
Any expected changes from the above will be posted to this page.
We appreciate your understanding while we futureproof Shiptheory's infrastructure.
The Shiptheory Team.
